The DELTAREG line includes a series of strapping machines of different types. A strapping machine is a device used to package a cardboard box for easier and less effortful transport. It uses a plastic strap, called strapping, which is wrapped around the package to be packed. The strapping machine tensions the strap and applies a metal or plastic seal to it. In this way, the package is stabilized and protected from possible impacts or movements during transport. There are different types of strapping machines, depending on the size, shape, and weight of the product or package to be packed, and the type of strapping used. Some strapping machines are manual, meaning they require operator intervention to position the strap and operate the machine. Other strapping machines are automatic or semi-automatic, meaning they are able to detect the product or package and wrap, tension, and seal the strap autonomously.
Strapping machines can perform different strapping modes, depending on the direction and number of times the strap is wrapped around the package. The main strapping modes are:
- Vertical strapping: the strap is wrapped vertically, from top to bottom, around the package. This strapping mode is suitable for tall and narrow packages, crates, boxes, bottles, etc.
- Horizontal strapping: the strap is wrapped horizontally, from right to left, around the package. This strapping mode is suitable for low and wide packages, such as carpets, pipes, profiles, etc.
- Lateral strapping: the strap is wrapped laterally, from front to back, around the package. This strapping mode is suitable for long and thin packages, such as beams, boards, plates, etc.
Strapping machines are used in many industrial and artisanal sectors, such as construction, wood, glass, paper, cardboard, steel industry, etc. Strapping machines allow for optimizing packaging times and costs, while ensuring the quality and safety of the product or package during transport.
